We have noticed that our printer consistently prints darker than intended. It doesn’t seem to matter whether it’s in CMYK, Pantones, RGB, etc, it’s always darker. We are using TransferRIP, and I have ensured that the settings on the printer itself are at default values.

I understand that comparing screen to print isn’t accurate, but even when printing the same job to a CMYK printer, the CMYW prints are consistently darker, and it compounds further when actually applying to a dark garment.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Dear adamcarney83,

it is well known that the CMYW is printing darker than usual CMYK printers. Normally marrying with B should make the colors better. If you are still not happy with the result you have two options.
Upgrade to the latest RIP version with the best possible color reproduction and use the latest RIP profiles from this website or increase the fill up value from 150% to 200% or even a bit more.

    BR
